Week by Week
Every Monday, a group of children gathers for an after-school Bible club in Sweden — and something is quietly happening among them.
Around ten children come regularly, and others drift in and out depending on what’s on. When workers organised a treasure hunt recently, even more showed up. Week by week, the children are learning about Jesus — who He is, what He did, and how He calls people to follow Him
Growing Up, Growing On
Several of the children are growing up fast; some will turn twelve this year. Workers are already praying about what comes next for them — a space shaped for teenagers, where faith can keep growing. Almost all the children who attend are girls. Please pray for more boys to join them, and for male leaders who can walk alongside them.
Faithful Few at the Shelter
A second Bible club meets every fortnight at a refugee shelter in Sweden. One family whose children had been faithful attenders recently moved on, but a group of Eritrean children keep showing up — week after week, quietly committed. Then, at an Easter outreach event, something unexpected happened: children came from Turkey, Nigeria, and Tanzania. New faces, new stories, new questions. For some of them, it may have been the first time they heard the name of Jesus. Workers are praying they’ll return.
Detectives at Easter
The week before Easter, two workers travelled to another part of Sweden to run Easter outreach events in two churches. On Saturday, around twenty Ethiopian children heard how Thomas came to believe in the risen Jesus. On Sunday, a mixed group of Swedish and Asian children became detectives — piecing together the evidence for why Jesus died, who bore responsibility, and how we can be sure He really rose again.
In the middle of it all, workers brought the great message of Easter to children who might never have heard it otherwise. That is a privilege worth celebrating.
