A visiting team knelt to pray for our teenagers — and wept as they did. That is how our summer camp began.
A Team That Loved First
A team travelled from Poland to serve at our teens camp. Before anything else, they prayed. They asked God to fill their hearts with love for our young people, and He answered. They led games and activities, but what our teenagers remember most is how deeply they were cared for. Some of the team hope to return for New Year.
Three Cultures, One Table
Our camp brought together three cultures — Polish, Montenegrin, and Spanish. So we set aside an evening to celebrate each one. We learned about different countries, listened to their music, and tasted their food. It was a simple joy, and it drew us closer together.
An Open Door on the Montenegrin Evening
During the Montenegrin evening, we invited some local boys from the area. They played traditional folk songs on a traditional instrument, and it was beautiful. Afterwards, we talked with them about our faith and explained what kind of camp we were holding. Then we moved straight into a time of worship. The boys stayed and listened with real curiosity.
A Word From the Visiting Team
The team from Poland wanted to share their own reflection:
“This was a beautiful and unforgettable time. We prayed that God would fill our hearts with love for these teenagers, and He answered so powerfully that saying goodbye was hard. The teenagers opened their hearts, and we had the privilege of sharing our faith, encouraging them, and being a blessing. But God blessed us through them too. We will especially remember the final night, when we saw the teenagers praying together. We will keep praying for your church, your ministry, and your teenagers.”
A Public Declaration of Faith
Beyond the camp, we saw God keep working in our young people. Some of our teenagers chose to declare their faith publicly through water baptism, and we had the privilege of standing with them. Please keep praying for these teenagers as they grow. The seeds planted this summer are His to water.
