When Children Carry the Good News

“It’s really good. I recommend it!” A girl had just shared a gospel video with her entire class WhatsApp group, and that was her note to her friends.

In Romania, an online radio ministry has spent twelve years proclaiming God’s Word to children — and the children themselves are now doing much of the proclaiming. Over the last two seasons, listeners have multiplied across Romania, Moldova, and far beyond. But the more striking story is what the children are doing with what they hear.

Children Becoming the Messengers

One child gave Christmas booklets to the school bus driver, the janitors, every classmate, and children from other classrooms too. Another handed Easter tracts to every friend in her kindergarten class — and came back to report they had thanked her. A boy listens to the programmes from the park with his Romanian-speaking neighbours. A girl shares Bible lessons with her neighbours every week and asked the team to pray for her as she does it.

Declarations of Faith

The messages coming back to the team are not just polite thank-you. They are declarations. One child wrote, “I want to become His child.” Another said, “I want to give my entire life to Jesus.” Others have written of wanting to be a witness to their colleagues, or to invite friends to a baptism in July. Parents write in too — one said the programmes had helped her son overcome his fear. Another shared that God had used the team to encourage the family through a cancer diagnosis.

Behind the Microphones

A small team writes, records, edits and presents — supported by volunteers, including a mother and daughter recording journal episodes together, and colleagues lending their voices to live shows. The work is not easy, but the fruit is steady.

Reflection

Paul’s charge to Timothy was simple and urgent: “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2). This ministry is a quiet picture of that command lived out — not from a pulpit, but through headphones, screens, and the small hands of children passing on what they’ve received. God is still using the faithful proclamation of His truth to transform lives, one listener at a time.

Please pray for more children to hear, more lives to be changed, and for God’s provision and strength for the team as they keep proclaiming.
