I want to share something that happened on 21st February that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.
A Question I Didn’t Expect
I was out with a scout group — twelve children, all from non-believing families. I had asked the Lord to help me explain the truth clearly, because I knew I couldn’t do it in my own strength. When I finished, I invited the children to ask questions.
A nine-year-old girl raised her hand. “I have a question,” she said. “How can I listen to my mum better?”
I hadn’t expected that. But I sat with her, spoke with her, and as I did, I could sense the Lord had prepared that moment long before I arrived. He had spoken to her heart — not me. I was just there.
A Group That Keeps Growing
The work with teenagers is growing in a way I didn’t expect. Young people from different cities have been joining our group. I love seeing them build friendships, open up about their struggles, and learn to bring those struggles to God. I’m praying for wisdom to lead them well. And for a space where we can meet properly — somewhere with room to study Scripture and just be together.
Standing Firm
I won’t pretend the challenges aren’t real. But I keep coming back to Isaiah 7:9 — “If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.” This verse became precious to me this winter. It made me stop and ask myself honestly: are my plans rooted in faith in God, or in my own ability? I prayed through that. I am grateful that the Lord doesn’t let me serve Him without depending fully on Him.
He will not fail. He has not failed. And a nine-year-old girl’s question on a February afternoon is proof of that.
