We began the season in November by training volunteers to prepare for this year’s project, The Christmas Picture.
Throughout the season, eleven Christmas Clubs were held, reaching 149 children who heard the true story of Christmas. Of these children, 89 heard it for the very first time. We were also blessed to welcome some adults to several of our clubs.
At one club, a young girl came up to me at the end and said, “What you said really moved me.” Although we did not have much time to talk, it was clear that God had touched her heart.
Christmas Clubs were also held on the mainland. In total, 29 Christmas Clubs took place across the Azores and mainland, with 424 children attending. Among them, 150 children heard the story of Christmas for the first time.
We know there are still many children in our country who need to hear the Gospel and learn about the message of salvation. We may be few, but we are determined to reach further. Christmas has now passed, but God willing, this December will bring more opportunities to hold Christmas Clubs.
We need volunteers who are available and who feel the weight of sharing the gift of salvation with children. With their help, we can continue to reach more children for the Lord.
