As I reflect on the past few months, I’m reminded of something the Lord has been teaching me again and again: prayer is unseen, yet absolutely essential. It reminds me of something I once heard from a sister — “prayer is like a root”.
This truth has become so clear during this season of ministry. Financial struggles pressed us to our knees. But in those hard moments, we experienced the quiet power of faithful prayer, God stirred the hearts of people to give. His provision came, and once again, we saw the fruit that only He could produce.
Our work is varied, distributing Örömhír Magazine, organizing children’s programs, managing literature at conferences, and more but it all has one aim: that the Word of God would spread rapidly and be glorified (2 Thess. 3:1).
A highlight this spring was our “Follow the Superheroes” 4-Day Club. Though we couldn’t host our usual residential camps this year, we didn’t want the children in the area to go without the Gospel. We taught about biblical heroes and about the greatest Hero, Jesus Christ. Twelve to sixteen children came each day, some even arriving before we did! One father said he couldn’t keep his sons at home, they were so eager to come. What a joy!
And then there was Peter, a sixth-grader who signed up for our Bible Correspondence Course. He recently shared this:
“I had heard a lot about Jesus before… but it was during this course that I made the decision. I received Him as my Saviour. Thank you for helping me to receive new life in Christ.”
This is why we press on. This is why we pray. Because behind the scenes, in the quiet places of the heart, God is working through His Word.
As we train new young workers and prepare for more teaching, I ask you to join us:
🙏 Pray for the children.
🙏 Pray for open hearts.
🙏 Pray for strength and wisdom.
The tree may stand tall and visible, but its fruit only grows from the strength of its roots. Thank you for being part of that unseen, life-giving root system through your prayers.
