Eager to Learn

What began as a simple leaflet distribution turned into an unforgettable week of evangelism. Together with an international group of students, we set out to hand out brochures to children and parents. Little did we know, this small act would open doors we never imagined.

The children and parents were eager to learn more, which led us to the local library and eventually the town hall. Our meeting with the mayor started as an interrogation, shifted into a presentation, and concluded as a promotion of our program! Soon after, the mayor and the librarian mobilised the entire village—calling parents, posting announcements, and inviting all the children. Even minibuses were provided to bring children daily from neighbouring villages.

Between July 21–25, we experienced days filled with grace. Children and parents came to hear the Gospel. During the same week, we had the opportunity to share the Gospel through a day camp in another area as well.

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
—Romans 10:14

We were even warmly welcomed by an Orthodox priest. When we asked about sharing the Gospel with children, he said,

“If you want to tell the children about God, who am I to stop you?”

As we prepared to leave, we wanted to leave a donation for the church we partnered with. The only person present at our departure was the lady responsible for cleaning. She shared a remarkable story with us: that very morning, she had been praying for guidance. She had set aside money for her funeral but felt God wanted those funds to be used for something else though she had no idea what for. When she received our donation for the church, the exact same amount she had set aside, it became clear to her that this was God’s confirmation of His will. With joy, she decided to give the money for His ministry, trusting His perfect plan.

Praise be to God for the way He involves all His children in His work! What started as a simple brochure distribution turned into a powerful reminder: when we step out in faith, God orchestrates every detail for His glory.
