This December, we were thrilled to hold Christmas clubs in the community. It was wonderful to welcome so many children. We shared the true message of Christmas.
Some local churches also used the CEF materials for their own events. One church reported that children retold the Bible lesson. Everyone enjoyed singing a new Christmas carol. A parent was deeply encouraged about exploring the Christian faith.
Christmas Events in Schools
In schools, we were grateful for 11 bookings and the opportunity to share calendars—around 3,000 in total this year! Please join us in praying that these calendars will be displayed in homes and that the verses will touch many hearts through the work of the Holy Spirit.
This year, I shared the story “The Gift,” which tells of a grandfather giving gifts to three grandchildren. As they open the gifts, one child sadly ignores it, while another notices it but then forgets about it. Only one child fully appreciates it. The story is a gentle way to encourage children to think about how they will respond to God’s wonderful gift of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus.
Sharing God’s Word
During the clubs, we also shared the verse:
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift.” (2 Corinthians 9:15)
Please pray that this verse—and the message of God’s gift—will find a place in the hearts of all the children we reached this Christmas.
