Equipped to Serve

How Teacher Training Is Reaching Children Across Romania

When teachers are equipped, children are reached. That’s been the story unfolding across Romania over the last months of 2025 — and it’s been worth celebrating.

In October, November, and December, a series of training sessions brought together teachers from across the country. The goal was practical and focused: prepare for Christmas outreach and sharpen the skills needed to share God’s Word with children well. What happened went far beyond preparation.

The sessions created space for learning and fellowship, but also for the Holy Spirit to work. Teachers left not just with better methods, but with fresh vision.

Prepared for the Harvest

One teacher told us: “After the meeting, the Lord put it on our hearts to organise a special activity to which the children could invite their friends and neighbours.”

Another came away on fire. “The Spirit of God spoke to us at the meeting, and we decided to evangelise all the children in the community. We want to organise a Christmas Club here. We are going to distribute invitations. Please give us another 250 brochures, because we only took 50. We pray that 250–300 children will come.”

Praise God — almost 300 children came, and the church was full.

Rooted in the Word

We also organised levels 1 and 2 of the Teaching Children Effectively course — practical, biblically grounded training in how to communicate God’s Word in ways children genuinely understand. One teacher shared: “After completing the TCE 2 course, I decided to place greater emphasis on evangelising children, both those in my family and those whom God has placed around us.”

There’s a phrase that captures the spirit of this season well: “Our calling is sowing; making it grow is God’s work.” These teachers are faithful to their part. The fruit is His.

Please pray for the teachers who were trained — that the momentum would continue, that the seeds sown in children’s hearts would take root, and that more would step forward to serve.
