Impact Through Volunteers

Summer ministry is always a season of excitement, energy, and opportunity to share the gospel with children and none of it would be possible without the dedication and heart of our amazing volunteers. As we reflect on the summer months, we are grateful for the incredible people God brought alongside us to serve in Day Clubs, Camp, and overseas missions.

Day Clubs: Volunteers in Action

This year, we were privileged to run four Day Clubs in different areas. The theme for the HBC program was “Out of this World,” and our volunteers played a pivotal role in making these clubs engaging, fun, and spiritually impactful. Their commitment to preparing lessons, leading games, and building relationships with the children was evident in every activity.

As Catherine, a 5-Day Club volunteer, shared:

“Both clubs were exceptionally well-organized, engaging, and full of energy. It was a joy to watch the children participate so eagerly, especially during quiz time, where many confidently answered questions and quoted the memory verses from the lessons. Their responses clearly showed they were listening carefully, understanding, and learning the truths being taught. The children really enjoyed the clubs and were genuinely disappointed when the club came to an end.”

Momentum Team to Poland

At the start of the summer, we had the privilege of leading our second Momentum Team to CEF Poland. Volunteers on this trip demonstrated extraordinary flexibility, teamwork, and heart for children. Despite language barriers, they shared the gospel through songs, Bible lessons, and games, leaving a lasting impact on the local community.

Rebecca, a member of the Poland team, reflected on the experience:

“This summer, I had the amazing opportunity to serve on a Momentum Team to Poland with CEF. It was such a meaningful experience—full of laughter, challenge, and growth. It was incredible to see how God worked in the hearts of the kids and in us as a team.”

Camp: A Team Effort

Camp is one of those special weeks where the energy and heart of our volunteers truly shine. Every activity, lesson, and game is possible because of their dedication and love for the children. Their impact extends beyond the week, and we pray the lessons and friendships endure for years.

David, reflecting on his experience, said:

“We praise God for sending such a large group of children, and we pray that His blessing will be on them as they consider the truths they were taught.”

We celebrate our volunteers, and we are so thankful for the ways God worked through them to impact lives both here at home and abroad. Their service is a testament to the power of willing hearts and hands in His work.
